New Year Resolutions

John 15:4-5

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye except ye abide in Me.

Every year, there is something/things that most of us do. We put up resolutions, declarations etc. But we don’t think of our relationship with the Lord. God wants us to commune with Him, and give us directions about the year. He wants us to have resolutions yes, but is He in the picture, is He in the center of it? Is He the directing us or we are doing it on our own? God want to have a relationship with us, but we don’t know that,  because all what we focus on is us. Then later when we are stuck we cry to HIM, t because

Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.Prov 12:22

You can be a delight to God today. What a precious proverb! If God delights in you, your future has no bounds. How can you easily obtain God’s favor? By honesty and truth in your dealings!

Simply speak the truth and be a man of your word. You will have opportunities today to choose between lying and truth. Embrace honesty and integrity! God hates liars (Pr 6:16-19). Do not ever think otherwise. All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire (Rev 21:8). There are no liars in heaven (Rev 22:15). Liars are an abomination to the LORD. He will destroy liars (Ps 5:6). He loves men of truth, and He delights in them. God will judge all liars, but He will bless men who deal honestly.Peggy .

But-the-hair-on-his-headOne of the most tragic characters from the Old Testament is Samson.

He’s the long-haired, muscled Adonis who was destined for greatness but fell for the wrong girl.

As a consequence, his long hair (which was the source of his strength) shaved off, the power of God left him and he was led away in disgrace by his enemies.

His eyes were torn out and poor old Samson became an object of scorn, taken out and paraded at special events so that his tormentors could make fun of him.

Thankfully the story doesn’t end there.

Everyday keep in mind that you are fearfully and  wonderfully nomatter what people say about you.

don’t let people pull you down, don’t even reduce yourself and insult God by comparing yourself with someone, don’t wish if you look like the person next door. God put all His love to create you the way you are not like the person next door.

Dr Myles Munroe once said many of people wish if they look or their life is like the person next, but what they don’t know is that the person next also don’t like the way they are, they also wish if they look like another next.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s,”
(1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
